Oh You Crazy Christans

Firstly let me start by saying this post is not directed to all Christians, it only for those who feel the need to condemn me and throw bible versus at me. So if you are a respectful and tolerant Christian ignore this post : ). I have many friends who are believers and I am completely ok with what they believe, because they do not shove it down my throat. Likewise I do not sit there and tell them that Atheist are right 24/7 (only 23/7 lol j/k)

Now if you are one of the many so called "loving" Christians out there throwing your opinion at me left and right, I have a few words for you. However before I get to far ahead of myself let me give you a little background on myself.

I was pretty much born and raised a Jehovah's Witness. If you would like to read in detail my experience please feel free to type in Jehovah's Witness in my search bar located on the side -------->  Being a dedicated witness I knew/know my bible inside out. I read it cover to cover 4 times (once as an Agnostic) . So when you throw all these scriptures at me I already know them and do not need to be reminded.

Anyways after I got kicked out (disfellowshiped) I was so afraid god would punish me, at this time I was still a very scared believer in the almighty. I did however research almost all major religions and came to conclusion that I did not need to be a part of a church to believe in god. This was when I started considering myself agnostic.

Overtime and through a lot of research on my part, I started to realize the likelihood of there being some almighty being out in the universe who sits basked in his power judging us, was slim to none. Therefore I became an Atheist. Of course this is just the short version, but you get the point.

Now on to my main point. Telling me bible versus is the world's biggest moot point. I do not believe in the bible, you would have more luck quoting mother goose to me. So seriously stop wasting your time typing them or copying and pasting them to me. Also Considering there are more than 500 different laws in the bible chances are you are breaking a lot of them, so focus on yourself and not me.

Telling me I will go to hell is not going to make me suddenly change my mind. Once again I do not believe in hell, so you are yet again wasting your time. If your god is real and is willing to send a good person who is a non-believer to hell over a murder who has "confessed" his sins then he has some serious issues and may need some psychological help. Your god is also clearly NOT love and is in fact based on the Bible's description narcissistic. Therefore if he was real I would not want to follow him anymore than I would follow around dog.

Bottom line if you are that worried about my relationship with a being I do not believe in, go get help fast. You are probably in a cult and need some serious help.

Why The Pro-Life Movement Is Pissing Me Off

I have been pro-life since I knew what abortion is. I use to seriously hate pro-choice people and would debate them online, in class, and basically anywhere I could. However over the years as we all do I have grown up, gained experience, and realize the ignorance of my ways. I do not think I would go as far as saying I am pro-choice, but somewhere in between.

I still believe abortion in most cases is wrong and can be fully preventable. This is where the pro-life movement pisses me off. The majority of the movement is Christan and extreme Christan at that. They therefore believe that birth control is wrong and everyone should stop having sex unless they are ready to be parents. Seriously WTF. Everyone is entitled to their own personal opinions, but don't these people realize that they will never "end" abortion by thinking they can force their beliefs on others.

People are going to have sex. It does not matter if you don't like it, that is how it is. I believe their real goal should be to make contraception available to all. Along with teaching people how to use it, this is what will cut down abortion rates in this and all other countries. Instead though they remain ignorant and believe that their god will end abortion in his own time.

I think that is why a lot of people are afraid to say they are against abortion, because you will be grouped with the radical nut jobs. Like I said I still believe abortion is not a choice to be taken lightly, you can not undo it once it has been done. However for some people i.e rape victims I can see why they would want to consider it. Of course now a days we have the morning after pill so this is yet another reason why abortion rates in this country should be dropping.  So that is basically my two cents for today. Any thoughts anyone?

Three...

Three seems like such a big number for such a small girl. Yet today that is exactly what you are. My beautiful, smart, and funny little Airi, you are three years old. It is impossible to believe that three whole years have passes since you came into this world and into my heart.

When you were born you had to be the most alert baby I have ever seen. I knew you were an old soul. They way you communicated with your eyes was like you were telling secrets we would never know. I knew you were something special and since then you have only proven me more and more right.

Everyone who meets you instantly falls in love with you. You have that magnetic power over people. I know that someday you are going to do impossibly great things in life and I am honored that I will be able top witness it. I love you my amazing little pixie, more than life itself.

Whats Been Going On

I have been so busy. First of all the weather here is amazing! I have been hanging out outside a lot and just enjoying watching the kids play and sometimes playing with them ; ). I have also been working on my photography site. It is about 90% complete, I need portfolio photos for the other 10%. So it will be on hold for a while until I get my portfolio done.

I have really honed in on my technique and now have an amazing workflow to post product my work. It is clean with a touch of vintage. I am very happy with it and am not truly ready to start taking clients. I know my work is good enough and no one is going to bring me down. My area need a photographer and I plan to be it.

In other news last week I started developing this strange rash on my neck. Since I have psoriasis I was not too concern. However a few days ago my whole neck was throbbing in pain and the rash appeared to be infected. I went to the Drs. and they said it could either be Shingles, a bacterial skin infection, or Herpes complex A (not the STD) I am hoping it is one of the first two, since if it is Herpes I will probably have more outbreaks and have to go on medication.

Here are some photos I did recently of Airi. She is going to be 3 in less than a week and I can not believe it! She will always be my baby. Time flies way too fast.
